OLMS Posts Revised Form LM-2 and Form T-1 Software

On March 26, 2004, fully tested versions of the software for the revised Form LM-2 and new Form T-1, user guides, and electronic instructions were made available for downloading from the Web site of the Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS). Therefore, unions with $250,000 or more in annual receipts will be required to electronically file the revised Form LM-2 and the new Form T-1, for their fiscal years beginning on or after July 1, 2004.

Form LM-2

At this time, only the current Form LM-2 will be accepted electronically. No one will be required to use the revised Form LM-2 until the end of the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2004, at which time OLMS will enable the Electronic Submission button within the software for the revised form. Once the rule becomes effective on July 1, 2004, however, unions that choose to use the revised Form LM-2 may submit it electronically. If you submit electronically before the effective date, OLMS will confirm receipt but the form will not be accepted as a valid report.

Form T-1

No one will be required to use the new Form T-1 until the end of the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2004, at which time OLMS will enable the Electronic Submission button within the software for the new form. Once the rule becomes effective on July 1, 2004, however, unions that choose to use Form T-1 may submit it electronically. If you submit electronically before the effective date, OLMS will confirm receipt but the form will not be accepted as a valid report.
