US Labor Department and consulate general of Ecuador sign agreement to protect the rights of Ecuadorian national migrant workers in 3 states

Signing scheduled for 4 p.m., Aug. 8, 2013, at consulate general office in Houston

HOUSTON -- The U.S. Department of Labor will sign an agreement between the departmentís Wage and Hour Division Houston District Office and the consulate general of Ecuador at 4 p.m. CDT on Thursday, Aug. 8, in Houston. The purpose of the agreement is to provide Ecuadorian nationals in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas with access to information and guidance on their rights as workers under United States law.
