Wage and Hour Division and state agency to strengthen labor compliance at local level
TAMPA, Fla. -- An ongoing enforcement initiative conducted by the U.S. Labor Departmentís Wage and Hour Division, which focused on full-service restaurants in Florida, has found widespread violations of the Fair Labor Standards Actís minimum wage, overtime and child labor provisions. The division is committed to strengthening compliance in this industry and is collaborating with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco to ensure compliance
