Dear Federal Contractor:

In accordance with Title 38, United States Code, Section 4212(d), the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) annually collects from Federal contractors and subcontractors information on the number of employees in their workforces who belong to the categories of veterans protected under the affirmative action provisions of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA).

The regulations in 41 CFR Part 61-300 require you to submit the Federal Contractor Veterans’ Employment Report VETS-100A (“VETS-100A Report”) if you have a Government contract or subcontract in the amount of $100,000 or more that was entered into or modified on or after December 1, 2003.

The regulations in 41 CFR Part 61-250 require you to submit the Federal Contractor Veterans’ Employment Report VETS-100 (“VETS-100 Report”) if you have a Government contract or subcontract in the amount of $25,000 or more that was entered into before December 1, 2003, except that you must submit the VETS-100A Report, not the VETS-100 Report, if such a contract was modified on or after December 1, 2003, and the contract as modified is in the amount of $100,000 or more.

You must submit both VETS-100A Report and the VETS-100 Report if you have a contract or subcontract that is subject to the regulations in 41 CFR Part 61-300 AND a contract or subcontract that is subject to regulations in 41 CFR Part 61-250.

Please Note: Both the VETS-100A Report and the VETS-100 Report must be submitted during the reporting period beginning August 1, 2009 and ending September 30, 2009.

We encourage companies to submit reports online at https://vets100.vets.dol.gov. However, mailed reports and properly formatted disk submissions are still acceptable..
