Outreach in Huntington, West Virginia! – On October 18, 2016, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) hosted an outreach event at the Mountainwest Community & Technical College in Huntington, West Virginia. The event attracted over 35 people. Guests who attended enjoyed an overview of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and a presentation about medical benefits provided under the program. DEEOIC staff members from the Cleveland District Office and Portsmouth Resource Center were available until 4:30 p.m. to answer questions, assist individuals with the filling of new claims under the EEOICPA, and provide claimants with status updates on their existing claims.
