Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)
Outreach in Iowa! – Town Hall Meetings were held at the Comfort Suites Hotel in Burlington, Iowa, on September 13, 2016. The meetings, held in the Stonegate Conference Center Ballroom from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, were hosted by the Joint Outreach Task Group (JOTG) of which DEEOIC is a member. The September 13th morning session drew a crowd of 100 participants, including representatives from Senator Chuck Grassley’s office and from Senator Joni Ernst’s office. The evening session attracted 25 participants, including a reporter from the Burlington Hawk Eye newspaper.
JOTG Town Hall Meetings were also held on September 14 and September 15, 2016, at the Gateway Hotel & Conference Center in Ames, Iowa. The September 14 evening session, which ran from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, attracted 20 participants. The morning session ran from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, and attracted 70 participants, including a representative from Senator Ernst’s office and a reporter from the Ames Tribune.
