Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)
Outreach in Florida! – Town Hall Meetings were held at the Hilton/Orlando in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on February 22-23, 2016, and at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida, on February 24, 2016, to notify current and former nuclear weapons workers about the benefits available to them under the EEOICPA. The meetings, hosted by the Joint Outreach Task Group (JOTG) of which DEEOIC is a member, attracted 161 participants. DEEOIC representatives presented an overview of Part B and Part E of the EEOICPA. Staff members were available to assist individuals with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA and provide claimants with status updates on their existing EEOICPA claims.
