Past Events

Outreach Event in Idaho Falls, Idaho! – Staff from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) participated in Town Hall Meetings in Idaho Falls, Idaho to notify current and former nuclear weapons workers about the benefits available to them under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). Survivors of qualified employees may also be entitled to benefits.

The meetings were hosted by the Joint Outreach Task Group (JOTG) of which DEEOIC is a member. At the Town Hall Meetings a DEEOIC official presented an overview of Parts B and E of the EEOICPA. Additionally, staff from DEEOIC’s Seattle District Office and Idaho Resource Center were available at each Town Hall Meeting to assist individuals with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA and to provide claimants with status updates on their existing EEOICPA claims.
