Coal Miners Appreciation Day is a free event for past and present coal miners, their families and friends. Representatives from Genesis Healthcare, along with Black Lung Program staff, will be available to provide information and assistance to individuals interested in filing (or refiling) a Black lung claim.
Doors open at 9:00am
Free Health Screenings 9:30-11:30am
Informative Speakers: Noon-2:00pm
Lunch is provided

1st Tuesday of Each Month (weather permitting)

On the first Tuesday of each month (weather permitting) staff from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Division of Coal Mine Workers’ Compensation (DCMWC) Charleston, West Virginia District Office will be available at the Beckley Field Station to provide information about the Federal Black Lung Program and assist individuals with the filing of new claims. Walk-ins welcomed!
