US Department of Laborís Wage and Hour Division opens field office in Del Rio, Texas

DEL RIO, Texas — The U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division has today opened a field office in the Del Rio Federal Building to connect employees, employers, community organizations and other stakeholders with the resources and assistance needed to ensure compliance with federal wage and hour laws. It is located at 111 E. Broadway St., Suite A-220, ZIP code 78840.

"We are extremely pleased to announce the opening of another Wage and Hour Division office in the state of Texas," said Cynthia Watson, regional administrator for the division in the Southwest. "This new office will be a great one-stop resource for compliance assistance and information concerning the federal labor laws we enforce."

The Wage and Hour Division's Del Rio Field Office has oversight for agency enforcement throughout the Del Rio metropolitan area as well as southwest Texas. It is an extension of the division's San Antonio District Office, which is located at 10127 Morocco St., Suite 140, ZIP code 78216. The public can visit either office in person or call the Del Rio Field Office at 830-703-2125 or the San Antonio District Office at 210-308-4515 for assistance in English or Spanish.

The Wage and Hour Division also services central and southwest Texas through an area office in Austin and a field office in San Angelo.

To receive wage and hour-related information, file a complaint or ask a question about federal wage laws, individuals should contact the Wage and Hour Division, which administers the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Service Contract Act, and the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act, among other federal laws.
