                                                                                    LM File No. 068-528

Anthony DiClementi, President
UAW Local 1612
1375 Virginia Drive, Suite 201
Fort Washington, PA 19034

Dear Mr. DiClementi:

This is in response to your continuing hardship exemption request for UAW Local 1612, LM File Number 068-528, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2010.  Your request dated March 25, 2011 was received by the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) on March 30, 2011.  A continuing hardship exemption request requires the requesting union to demonstrate that it cannot file Form LM-2 electronically without undue burden or expense.

You based your request upon the following information stated in your letter:

Your local has a new software package and while trying to enter your information into the electronic form you discovered some problems.  You are working with the software company to get them resolved.  You have filed a paper copy of your local’s Form LM-2 and enclosed the postal service proof of delivery with your hardship exemption request.
OLMS grants your continuing hardship exemption request for filing the Form LM-2 electronically for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2010, based on the technical difficulties that you encountered.
If you have any further questions about filing the Form LM-2 pursuant to the hardship exemption, please call 202-693-0123 and reference your organization’s LM file number.

Sincerely,

Andrew R. Davis, Chief
Division of Interpretations
  and Standards
