Brian A. Pifer has served as the Chief of the Division of Enforcement (DOE) since January 2019. The Chief of DOE provides leadership and direction regarding civil and criminal enforcement activities under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA). Mr. Pifer and his staff work closely with OLMS field offices and with the Office of the Solicitor’s Division of Civil Rights and Labor-Management to ensure appropriate enforcement activities under the LMRDA. Most recently serving as district director of the Cincinnati-Cleveland District Office, Mr. Pifer joined OLMS as an investigator in June 2003. He subsequently served as a supervisory investigator and assumed other leadership roles within the agency. He began his career with the Department of Labor in 1994, working for the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hiram College.
