Today's award increases the total funding to the full approved amount of $5,586,385. This incremental funding willprovide for the continuation of reemployment services to airmen and soldiers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord who are separating from military service as a result of Department of Defense budget cuts and preparing to enter the civilian workforce. The grantee's request for incremental funding indicated that more than 35 service members seek assistance weekly, and that momentum is expected to continue to build as the project enhances the successful system now established for business recruitment, job training and job placement.
