The President's Committee on the ILO (PC/ILO)
The PC/ILO is a tripartite federal advisory committee that was established in 1980 for the specific purpose of directing U.S. participation in the ILO. Chaired by the Secretary of Labor, the PC/ILO includes the Secretaries of State and Commerce, the Assistants to the President for National Security Affairs and Economic Policy, and representatives of organized labor and the business community. The labor and business representatives are the Presidents of the AFL-CIO and the U.S. Council for International Business, respectively.
The PC/ILO last met on May 4, 2010, and adopted a set of six conclusions that Secretary Solis transmitted to President Barack Obama.
