Deplorable living conditions of Fat Law's Farm employees

Investigators with the Wage and Hour Division discovered workers employed by Fat Law's Farm living in deplorable conditions, in violation of labor laws.
The back of a truck was used as housing. The employer was ordered to pay $31,200 in penalties for the deplorable housing, safety and health conditions for workers, in violation of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act.
Kitchens such as this one were provided workers at Fat Law's Farm in Hawaii.
