U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez speaks at the Society for Human Resource Management's 2014 Employment Law and Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.
Secretary Perez thanks the Human Resource Professionals for their help in getting the long-term unemployed back on their feet.
"There is not one issue that keeps me up more at night than the long-term unemployed," Secretary Perez tells the crowd.
Secretary Perez referred to the Human Resource Professionals as "Change Professionals" because they can drive, manage and lead change.
Hank Jackson, president and CEO of Society for Human Resources Management, thanks Secretary Perez for his participation in the conference.
