The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division is hosting a series of listening sessions to hear the public’s feedback on the current overtime regulations and the potential impact from any changes to those regulations.
Overtime regulations and the appropriate salary level above which the overtime exemption may apply that are built into those regulations must be reviewed from time to time to ensure that their relevance is maintained. Overtime requirements protect workers and help employers retain workers. This benefits workers and their employers, their communities, and our nation’s economy.
How to Participate
Hosting these listening sessions in a virtual format will allow us to provide a more accessible, expansive opportunity for engagement from stakeholders across the country. While we anticipate questions and discussions about the salary level above which the overtime exemption may apply, the duties test, and workplace and flexibility issues, we want the topics of the listening session to be guided by you.
