Keeping Teen Workers Safe

What employers, parents, educators & workers need to know about the FLSA's Youth Employment Protections

The U.S Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) is committed to protecting the youngest members of our workforce and enforcing child labor law to the fullest extent. Since 2015, the division has seen increases in child labor investigations and violations.

We know that the most effective prevention is education. With that in mind, the division’s Northern New England District Office is offering a free webinar on October 6th from 2:00pm – 3:00pm EDT for employers, parents, educators, and workers to learn more about the FLSA’s youth employment protections. A Q&A period will follow the presentation, and registrants will be provided with links to child labor compliance assistance materials.

While attendance is free, registration is required. Login information will be shared via email 1-1 days prior to the event.
