The project will support workers in the electronics sector to improve their working conditions, including addressing occupational safety and health (OSH) hazards and sexual violence and harassment (GBVH).

The Problem

Malaysia's electronics industry has grown in recent years due to increased global demand for semiconductors and other electronic devices. Many workers in the electronics sector in Malaysia are vulnerable to exploitation, hazardous working conditions, and GBVH in the workplace.

Our Strategy

Project activities will:

  1. Strengthen the capacity of worker organizations to advocate for improvements in OSH standards and address GBVH in the workplace.
  2. Increase workers’ engagement with government authorities and employers to address OSH hazards and GBVH.
