This guide is intended as an orientation guide for victims and human rights associations wishing to assist them. It sheds light on the law criminalizing slavery and repressing slavery-like practices, informs the victims of their rights, highlights the respective roles of the various authorities in the implementation of the legal procedure, the stages of which are also well defined. For civil society organizations, it specifies the roles, the working methods that they must employ as well as the competences devolved to them by law in terms of assistance to victims.
