To publicize the local capacity-building conference to be held in St. Louis on August 14-16, 1995.

To provide grantees with the PY 1995 Partnership Plan, new Federal Representative assignments, and a Master Meeting Calendar.

To advise State about the implementation of the new provisions related to requests for waivers of State liability and requests to forego certain debt collection actions against a subrecipient under the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA).

To announce the production and distribution of the JTPA Title II Eligibility Documentation Technical Assistance Guide (TAG) in multimedia, Compact Disc (CD-ROM) format. This training module is designed for use by employment and training practitioners, especially front-line staff, at their work stations.

To transmit a checklist of current GALs.

To announce: a) the upcoming implementation of networks designed to support a graphical user interface (GUI) environment and X Windows applications running on the SESAs' Sun Microsystems SPARCstation computers; and b) UI SPARCstation computer system upgrades.

To announce three RQC implementation meetings for Regional and State RQC Staff. The meetings will be as follows: States in Regions I, II, and III will meet in Washington, D.C., on August 15-17, 1995, States in Regions IV, V, and VI will meet in Charleston, South Carolina, on August 9-11, 1995, and States in Regions VII, VIII, IX, and X will meet in San Diego, California, on September 19-21, 1995.

To provide adjusted 1995 Lower Living Standard Income Level (LLSIL) tables for use in determining needs-related payments.

To advise State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) of the Department of Labor's position regarding issues relating to telephone or other electronic methods of processing in the UI program.

To provide further information on the revised ETA 581 and associated activities.

To provide policy direction and guidance to State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) concerning the CWC program.

To transmit replacement pages and instructions for insertion in the most recent draft of the Core RQC Operations Handbook and Appendix B.

To transmit information to the JTPA system regarding provisions affecting Title III programs pursuant to the 1995 Appropriations Act for the Departments of Labor et al (P.L. 103-333, September 30, 1994).

To transmit the subject AWBA computation for State Employment Security Agency (SESA) usage in computing a weekly DUA amount for all major disasters declared on and after May 11, 1995.

To provide information on the status of the Risk Analysis Project and to identify specific State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) in which on-site studies will be conducted. SESAs selected for on-site study are Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, and New York.

To transmit the Experience Rating Index (ERI) for States for Rate Year 1994.

To issue revisions to the Federal Poverty Income guidelines.

To transmit a report prepared by The Association of Outplacement Consulting Firms International (AOCFI) and a case.

study prepared by The Transition Team; and To transmit information regarding potential local EDWAA partnership with outplacement consulting firms serving dislocated workers.

To provide grantees with the current LLSIL, and instructions on their use.

To provide Section 401 grantees travel reimbursement guidance and notice of deadline for submission of claims.
