Brian Pifer, District Director
Brian Pifer has served as the District Director for the Cincinnati-Cleveland District Office and previously the Cleveland District Office since March 2008. Under the oversight of a regional director, the OLMS district director is responsible for leading a criminal and civil enforcement program within an assigned jurisdiction, including responsibility to formulate annual office program, budgetary, and administrative operations plans, and monitor and evaluate the program work performed in the assigned field office. Mr. Pifer graduated from Hiram College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994. He began his career with DOL that same year, joining the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP). His duties as a Senior Claims Examiner for OWCP included conducting investigations involving workers’ compensation fraud. In 2003, he left OWCP and began his career with OLMS. Since joining the agency, he has conducted numerous criminal and civil investigations, and has served as an instructor during OLMS’ new investigator training. He was promoted to the position of Supervisory Investigator in 2006.
