The Department of Labor is providing these calculators as a public service. The regulations and related materials reflected in these calculators are intended to facilitate compliance with section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Department of Labor regulations. The calculators assist in determining the special minimum wages that may be paid by employers that receive a certificate from the Department of Labor to workers who have disabilities for the work being performed. These calculators, however, offer no assistance in determining whether the criteria for section 14(c) coverage are satisfied and may not be an appropriate tool for determining section 14(c) wages in every possible situation encountered in the workplace.
