US Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division opens field office in Great Falls, Mont.

GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division has opened a field office in Great Falls to connect employees, employers, community organizations and others with resources and assistance to ensure compliance with federal wage and hour laws.

The office is located in Room 416 of Wells Fargo Bank, 21 N. Third St. (ZIP code 59401). The public can visit in person or reach the office by telephone at 406-453-1332. Assistance is available in English and Spanish.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the opening of another Wage and Hour Division office in Montana,” said Cynthia Watson, regional administrator for the division in the Southwest. “This new office we will be a great resource for the people of Montana, as it will serve as a ‘one-stop shop’ for employers, employees and everyone else who needs compliance assistance and information concerning the federal labor laws we enforce.”

The Great Falls Field Office and a field office in Billings have oversight for agency enforcement throughout Montana, including enforcement on federal construction and service contracts. The offices are extensions of the division’s Salt Lake City District Office in Utah, located at 60 E. South Temple St., Suite 575 (ZIP code 84111); telephone 801-524-5706.

The Wage and Hour Division enforces the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Service Contract Act, and the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act, among other federal laws. For more information about these laws or to file a complaint, call the Great Falls office, the Salt Lake City office or the division’s toll-free helpline at 866-4US-WAGE (487-9243).
