US Labor Department and consulate general of Honduras sign agreement to protect the rights of Honduran national migrant workers in 6 states
Signing scheduled for 3:30 p.m., May 14, 2013, at consulate general office in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS -- The U.S. Department of Labor will sign an agreement between the departmentís Wage and Hour Division New Orleans District Office and the consulate general of Honduras at 3:30 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, May 14 in New Orleans. The purpose of the agreement is to provide Honduran nationals in Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Missouri with access to information and guidance on their rights as workers under United States law.
