US Labor Department to offer free informational forum Aug. 2 for Baton Rouge-area employers, advocacy groups and community-based organizations


Wages, pensions, equal employment opportunity and job safety among topics

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The U.S. Department of Labor will offer a free informational and outreach forum in Baton Rouge for employers, advocacy groups and community-based organizations. The forum will focus on the many programs offered through the department concerning fair labor standards, wages, health benefits, job safety, pension protection, record keeping, affirmative action and veterans’ re-employment rights.

Regional administrators and program specialists from the department’s various agencies will be available to answer questions.
