New Orleans employers, advocacy groups to participate in free U.S. Labor Department informational and outreach forum
Wages, pension, health benefits and job safety are among workshop topicss
NEW ORLEANS, LA -- To learn more about family and medical leave, wages, pension protection, job safety, affirmative action programs and veterans re-employment rights, more than 200 employers, advocacy groups and community-based organizations have signed up to participate in the U.S. Department of Labor's free informational and outreach forum for the New Orleans area.
The U.S. Department of Labor and the University of New Orleans will host workshops on Tuesday, June 9 at the University of New Orleans, Lindy Boggs International Conference Center, located at 2045 Lakeshore Drive, New Orleans.
Regional administrators and their representatives from the various agencies presenting workshops will be available to answer reporters' questions. For interviews, a workshop list or to participate in the workshops, contact Elizabeth Todd, Office of Public Affairs, at 972-850-4710.
