US Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division, Mexican Consulate in Denver to sponsor Labor Rights Week Aug. 27-31

DENVER -- The Denver District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in Denver to sponsor Labor Rights Week, Aug. 27-31. This year’s theme is “Protecting Labor Rights is Everyone’s Responsibility.”

Presentations by Labor Department staff will cover the following topics: agricultural employment, including the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act and the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2A and H-2B requirements; and the Fair Labor Standards Act’s minimum wage and overtime requirements. Staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.
