Wage and Hour Division (WHD)
U.S. Department of Labor
ALEXANDRIA, La. -- The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division has opened a new field office at the Alexandria Federal Courthouse/Post Office Building, 515 Murray St., Room B-11 in Alexandria.
“By opening this office, the Labor Department will be able to provide greater services to the workers of Louisiana and act as a one-stop shop for employers seeking compliance assistance concerning the federal labor laws we enforce,” said Cynthia Watson, regional administrator for the Wage and Hour Division in the Southwest.
The Alexandria Field Office will connect employees, employers and community-based organizations with the resources and assistance needed to ensure that all workers – especially those employed in low-wage industries, and through federal construction and service contracts – are paid full and fair wages for all hours worked.
Other Louisiana field offices are located in Baton Rouge, Kenner, Lafayette, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport.
