SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The U.S. Department of Labor will offer a free Informational and Outreach Forum in the San Antonio area for employers, advocacy groups and community-based organizations. The forum will focus on the many programs offered through the department concerning family and medical leave, health benefits, wages, job safety, pension protection, recordkeeping, affirmative action and veterans re-employment rights.
The U.S. Department of Labor, in partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and the San Antonio Human Resource Management Association Inc., will host its workshops Friday, Aug. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. CDT, at UTSA’s Downtown Campus, 501 West Durango Blvd., Buena Vista Building, San Antonio.
Regional administrators and their representatives from the various agencies presenting workshops will be available to answer reporters’ questions. For interviews, a workshop list or to participate in the workshops, contact Elizabeth Todd, Office of Public Affairs, at 972-850-4710.
