David W. Anderson, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, WellStar Health System.

David W. Anderson is Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Organizational Learning, and the Chief Compliance Officer for WellStar Health System. A graduate of Chapman University where he received his bachelors degree and the University of Houston where he received both his MBA and MHA graduate degrees, he has more than 30 years of healthcare management experience. Mr. Anderson is a member of the Society for Human Resources, the Leaderís Board for Human Resources Executives and the Corporate Leadership Council. He has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houstonís Masters in Healthcare Administration Program. Mr. Andersonís leadership at WellStar has resulted in WellStar Health System being named to the Companies That Care Honor Roll for the last three years, being listed on the Top 100 companies by Working Mother Magazine for three consecutive years, the Top 50 companies 2010 for the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), receiving the Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility for 2009, and last year having WellStar Health System designated as one of the best employers nationally for workers over 50 by AARP.

Mr. Andersonís career includes being a hospital administrator for a South Texas Childrenís hospital for over 10 years, Administrator and Chief Operating Officer roles in general acute care hospitals in Texas for many years, and during the second half of his career holding key Human Resource and Compliance roles in several large health systems in Dallas, Northern Virginia, and currently at WellStar Health System. Mr. Anderson is married to Mary Lee Anderson, both a registered nurse and realtor. David and Mary Lee have five children and eight grandchildren.
