Labor Secretary Hilda L. Solis to discuss rights and challenges
for women in the workforce at June 21 Orlando, Fla., forum

WASHINGTON – Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis will address the challenges facing working women and the resources available to them at a June 21 forum in Orlando, Fla., titled “Working for Women: Your Job, Your Rights,” presented by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau. Secretary Solis will be joined by other department leaders to share actions taken by the Labor Department to get women back to work, protect their rights, and help women provide and keep what they earn.

The audience is expected to include representatives of women’s advocacy groups, workforce investment counsels and boards, and faith-based organizations; business owners; legislators and their staff members; college and university personnel; advocates for women veterans and immigrants; and elected state and local officials.
