Date - October 23-24, 2003 - Event - Director Chun kicked off the Las Mujeres y El Dinero (Women & Money) initiative to 2000 people who attended the 18th Annual Hispanic Women's Conference. Date - November 15, 2003 - Event - The Women’s Bureau partnered with AVANCE San Antonio to present bilingual financial workshops to more than 300 low income women. Director Chun welcomed the women recounting her early experiences as a young women new to the American culture and later visited the participants' children at the on site child care center. - Location - San Antonio, TX - PHOTO GALLERY

Date - February 21, 2004 - Event - The theme for the Miami event Women and Money: Investing in Your Family's Future, A Building Block for Community Prosperity set the tone for the collaborative effort necessary to serve over 350 conference participants. The Miami Dade Community College campus was a flurry of activity with multilingual workshops and a Financial Fitness Fair supported by over 30 vendors. - Location - Miami, FL - PHOTO GALLERY

Date - March 27, 2004 - Event - Women Saving Money for the Future prompted a diversity of women to begin a fact-finding search for financial freedom. Temple University hosted the day of empowerment that included bi-lingual financial workshops, financial exhibitors and the certification of Latino community leaders as financial experts. The Mayor and the City Council of Philadelphia proclaimed March 27, 2004 as Las Mujeres y el Dinero Day in Philadelphia. - Location - Philadelphia, PA - PHOTO GALLERY

Date - May 7, 2004 - Event - The Women's Bureau worked with eighteen partners to create "Las Mujeres y el Dinero" (Women and Money) financial literacy educational event that targeted Hispanic women of all walks in life. The 200 participants attended workshops in English and Spanish to learn about money matters. They learned about banking services, importance of saving, managing their money, owning a home, and importance of life, home, heath and auto insurance. - Location - Seattle, WA - PHOTO GALLERY

Date - June 16, 2004 - Event - The CT Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission, the Entrepreneurial Center at Hartford College for Women and the CT Permanent Commission on the Status of Women partnered with the Women's Bureau to present in Hartford, CT a successful financial educational conference for Latinas. Approximately 100 women heard speakers and participated in workshops addressing various topics on saving and investing for their future. - Location - Hartford, CT - PHOTO GALLERY

Date - August 5 and 6, 2004 - Event - Kansas City was the site for the WB's 7th Hispanic Financial Literacy Project co-sponsored with the Kansas City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
