David George, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) /
Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), is a partner in Wealth Management Group
LLP CPAs in Irvine, California, a fee-only financial planning
and investment advisory CPA firm assisting people to make smart decisions about
their money. The firm is registered by
the Securities and Exchange Commission as a registered investment advisor in
addition to being licensed by the California Board of Accountancy. David has practiced accounting since 1974. In 1985, he earned a Certificate in Advanced
Personal Financial Planning from the California CPA Foundation for Education
& Research. David has been involved
in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in a variety of
capacities, including serving as current Chair of the Retirement Plan
Committee.
Erika Safran, Certified Financial Planner™, is a Financial Advisor and Principal with
Financial Asset Management Corporation (FAM), a fee only financial planning
firm in New York, New York. She provides financial planning services to
individuals and small businesses. In
addition to her responsibilities at FAM, Erika is an adjunct faculty member in
the Certified Financial Planners program at Baruch College.
She has been quoted in Business Week, Money, the New York Times,
Daily News, New York Post, the Orlando
Sentinel, and USA Today, and has been
interviewed on CNBC, CNN, BBC News, The
Early Show on CBS, and That Money
Show on PBS. Erika received her
Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY at Buffalo
and her Certified Financial Planner’s degree from the College for Financial
Planning. She is a member of the
Financial Planning Association and the Financial Women’s Association of New
York.
Liz Pulliam Weston is the author of the books Your
Credit Score: How to Fix, Protect and Improve the
3-Digit Number that Shapes Your Financial Future; Easy Money: How to Simplify Your Finances and Get What You Want Out of
Life; and Deal with Your Debt. She is a personal finance columnist for MSN
Money and author of the question-and-answer column "Money Talk,"
which appears in newspapers throughout the country. Formerly a personal finance writer for the Los Angeles Times, Pulliam Weston is a
graduate of the certified financial planner training program at the University of California,
Irvine. The winner of the 2007 Clarion Award for
online journalism, she lives in Los
Angeles with her husband and daughter. A January 2008 independent study by Nielsen NetRatings found that more than 3.4 million people turned
to Pulliam Weston for advice and commentary about the personal finance issues
that affect them.
