Manhattan
Worth Street Station
After Triangle Shirtwaist Factory owners, Max Blanck and Isaac Harris, were acquitted of manslaughter charges, the Worth Street Subway station was the probable location where the two men escaped the jeering, hissing crowd of onlookers who gathered as the men left the court complex. Worth Street Station used to connect to the Tombs. The station, which was close to city hall, was demolished in 1962 when the base of the Brooklyn Bridge needed to be expanded.
