Outreach Event

On August 19, 2014, officials from the U.S. Department of Laborís Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) will host two roundtable meetings to discuss the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the medical benefits provided under the program. Discussion will include specific information concerning home health care services and how to better serve EEOICPA claimants.

The roundtable meetings are for physicians and home health care providers only. If you are a physician or home health care provider, and are interested in attending, please contact DEEOICís Savannah River resource center toll-free at (866) 666-4606 no later than Thursday, August 7, 2014.

On August 19, 2014, officials from the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensationís (DEEOIC) Denver district office will host a town hall meeting in Window, Rock, Arizona, to discuss the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the medical benefits provided under the program. Discussions will include general program information as well as specific information concerning home health care services, the Privacy Act, and how to better serve EEOICPA claimants.

Staff from DEEOICís Denver district office and Espanola resource center will also be available after the town hall meeting presentation to assist individuals with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA and to provide claimants with status updates on their EEOICPA claims.

On August 26, 2014, officials from the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) will participate in an open house in Richland, Washington, to notify current and former nuclear weapons employees about the benefits available under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). Survivors of qualified employees also may be entitled to benefits.

Current and former workers are invited to stop at DEEOICís table and ask representatives questions about the EEOICPA and the benefits available under the program. Representatives from the Joint Outreach Task Group, of which DEEOIC is a member, will also be available to answer questions.

Staff from DEEOICís Seattle district office and Hanford resource center will be available during the open house to assist individuals with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA and to provide claimants with status updates on their existing EEOICPA claims.

On August 27, 2014, officials from the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) will participate in two town hall meetings in Spokane, Washington, to notify current and former nuclear weapons employees about the benefits available to them under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). Survivors of qualified employees also may be entitled to benefits.

At the town hall meetings a DEEOIC representative will present an overview of Parts B and E of the EEOICPA. Representatives from the Joint Outreach Task Group, of which DEEOIC is a member, will also be presenting information. Once all presentations have concluded audience questions will be answered.

Staff from DEEOICís Seattle district office and Hanford resource center will also be available at the town hall meetings to assist individuals with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA and to provide claimants with status updates on their existing EEOICPA claims.
