Outreach Event

On May 6, 2014, officials from the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) will participate in a town hall meeting in Pahrump, Nevada to provide information about the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). The EEOICPA was created to assist those individuals who became ill as a result of working in the nuclear weapons industry. Survivors of such individuals may also be eligible for benefits under Parts B and E of the EEOICPA.

The meeting is being hosted by the Joint Outreach Task Group (JOTG) which is comprised of representatives from DEEOIC, DOL’s Office of the Ombudsman for the EEOICPA, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), DOE’s Former Worker Medical Screening Program, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the Ombudsman to NIOSH for the EEOICPA. Members of the JOTG will be present at the meeting to answer questions.
