Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)

SEM Updated the 2nd week of April 2014!

The SEM website has been updated ! This update makes the website current through February 10, 2014. There is a lot of new material in the updated version of SEM. We have added two DOE sites, GE Vallecitos and the Uranium Mill in Converse County (Spook Site), WY (remediation), and updated information on 33 additional DOE sites. This update also adds 124 work processes with disease links at the site level. This is a major change from prior releases in SEM. Up until this time, links in SEM were only made between toxins and health effects. Now, for the first time, 124 work processes are also linked to occupational illnesses. These work process links are not only available under their own separate heading on the selected facility page, but the links have already been incorporated into the facility spreadsheets of most large sites.

Since the SEM first became available to the public on March 2010, there have been seven revisions of the SEM website. Prior to the release of a new version, the US Department of Energy (DOE) reviews the new and revised information to ensure that no classification issues exist. If necessary, changes are made. For this most recent version, no changes were required.
