regarding tomorrow’s Senate vote on 'card check'
WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao today issued the following statement regarding the Senate vote tomorrow on H.R. 800, better known as the "card check" legislation:
"American workers should be able to decide whether or not they want a union by a private ballot election. Hopefully, enough senators will be unwilling to turn the clock back 60 years to a time when workers were routinely harassed about whether or not to support a union."
