The Consumer Price Index remained unchanged during the
month of June, for the second month in a row. In fact, this is the first time
in 13 years that there has been no consumer price increases over a 2-month
period. Over the previous year, the CPI has risen a very moderate 2 percent.
The performance of our economy remains outstanding, with
high growth, low unemployment, rising incomes and price stability.
