"These projections provide important information on future trends in the workforce and the types of jobs our economy will create. The report highlights that the American workforce will become increasingly diverse, as Hispanic, Asian and women workers increase their share of the labor force. Notably, the report emphasizes that education and training will become increasingly important for all workers. The three fastest-growing occupations -- database administrators, computer engineers and systems analysts -- require computer-related skills and overall those occupations requiring high levels of training will have the fastest growth. The labor market will continue to offer opportunities for high-paying jobs for those with the necessary skills, as 60 percent of the growth of employment over the next decade will be in occupations paying above-average wages."
