The day after Halloween brings more treats in the form of the October employment report.

October was the 26th month of unemployment under 6 percent and the third month in a row at 5.2 percent or lower -- and still no sign of the hobgoblin of accelerating inflation. The economy added 250,000 new private sector jobs, bringing the total number of new jobs created in this Administration to 10.7 million.

October was also the first month of a higher minimum wage for 4.2 million Americans. Many of these workers are employed in the retail sector, which grew by 62,000 jobs.
