The Consumer Price Index moderated in October increasing 0.2 percent, with energy prices in line with the overall rate of increase. Over the past 12 months, the CPI has risen 3.4 percent.

The "core" (finished goods less food and energy) Consumer Price Index also increased by 0.2 percent in October, increasing 2.5 percent over the past 12 months.
