I applaud the U.S. House of Representatives for their rapid, bipartisan action on the stock options bill -- allowing American workers to share in their employer's growth and profitability.

This bill moved in so timely a fashion because of the outstanding bipartisan leadership shown in the House and Senate, working with the Administration. As a result of their hard work, certain stock option programs will be exempted through this change in the law, yet the important protections for workers that the Fair Labor Standards Act embodies are still maintained.

I will urge the President to sign this important legislation into law.
