Statement of U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao
on Introduction of the “Back to Work Incentive Act”
WASHINGTON – U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao issued
the following statement today about the introduction of the “Back to Work
Incentive Act”:
“I applaud the House Committee on Education and the
Workforce’s swift action to move forward the “Back to Work Incentive
Act” to enact the President’s personal re-employment account proposal
and get unemployed Americans back to work. The President’s proposal to
create Personal Re-employment Accounts is a new, innovative approach to give
unemployed Americans the assistance, support and flexibility they need to
quickly find the right job.”
