Clarification Of National Emergency Grant To Lucent Technologies,
Inc.
WASHINGTON – The Employment and Training Administration issued
the following clarification of the $3 million National Emergency Grant to aid
laid off workers from Lucent Technologies, Inc. in North Andover, Mass.
The National Emergency Grant awarded to the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts related to Lucent Technologies, Inc. was to assist workers in the
Lower Merrimack region who were laid off from Lucent. It was not awarded as a
result of any known Lucent site closure.
