The Labor Department is committed to ensuring that our brave men and
women who are protecting our country’s freedoms have the opportunities
they deserve when they return to civilian life. To that end, Congress
recently enacted the Veterans Benefits Improvement Act, which requires
that employers provide a notice to “all persons entitled to rights
and benefits under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment
Rights Act,” called USERRA. This week the Department of Labor
announced that a notice in poster format explaining the rights of employees
is now available for employers to download from the Department of Labor
Web site and display in a prominent place. That link is: www.dol.gov.
