Electronically Fillable Revised Form LM-30 Labor Organization Officer and Employee Report Now Available on OLMS Web Site

On July 2, 2007, the Department of Labor, Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) published a Final Rule revising Form LM-30 Labor Organization Officer and Employee Report and Instructions. On August 15, 2007, OLMS made the Electronically Fillable Revised Form LM-30 available in Adobe format on the OLMS Web site. Fillable Revised Form LM-30 supports Adobe versions 6.x and 7 but is not compatible with Adobe 8 at this time.

Union officers or employees (except employees performing exclusively clerical or custodial services) must file a Form LM-30, if they or their spouses or minor children have interests or dealings related to certain types of employers or businesses. Labor organization officers and employees who are required to file Form LM-30 must do so within 90 days after the end of their fiscal year.

The reporting requirements are designed to disclose possible conflicts between personal interests and the officer's or employee's duty to the union and its members. The Final Rule is effective for fiscal years beginning August 16, 2007 and thereafter. The current Form LM-30 may be filed for reports covering any fiscal year beginning before that date.
