Ian Burg, District Director

Ian Burg has been the District Director for the Detroit - Milwaukee District Office and previously the Detroit District Office since July, 2004. Under the oversight of a regional director, the OLMS district director is responsible for leading a criminal and civil enforcement program within an assigned jurisdiction, including responsibility to formulate annual office program, budgetary, and administrative operations plans, and monitor and evaluate the program work performed in the assigned field office.  In 1986, Mr. Burg joined OLMS as an investigator.  In the year prior to being promoted to District Director, he served on a detail to the National Office working on special projects related to the Government Paperwork Elimination Act (GPEA), the development and implementation of several regulatory reforms, and a nationwide information management system.   In the mid-1990s, he undertook a number of technology-related field assignments, including computer hardware and software training.
