JOB FAIR SET FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Washington ---The U. S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) is sponsoring an Employment Fair for People with Disabilities on Wednesday, May 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center, 900 9th Street, NW.

The job fair will give job candidates with disabilities an opportunity to meet with representatives of more than 60 corporations and government agencies. Employers are seeking candidates with skills in accounting, administration, clerical support, engineering, information technology, finance and science.

"This is an opportunity for job seekers with disabilities in the Washington metro area to market their skills to local employers, including representatives of federal agencies," said Gary B. Reed, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of ODEP. "We encourage all qualified candidates to utilize this opportunity to become part of America's workforce."
