What Can YOU Do? Show Us!
Is your business welcoming of the talents of all individuals, including individuals with disabilities? Show us! The Campaign for Disability Employment’s (CDE) What Can YOU Do? Video Contest invites employers both large and small to submit entries showcasing their inclusive employment programs and practices.
Entries in the employer category can be up to three minutes in length and should illustrate effective disability employment initiatives in action. The deadline is March 30, 2012. The contest also has categories for the general public and youth. More information and the official contest rules are outlined on the contest website.
The CDE is a national public awareness effort funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) to highlight the value and talent people with disabilities add to America’s workplaces and economy. It offers a variety of educational materials, including public service announcements, discussion guides, posters and other tools that employers can use to foster a disability-friendly work culture.
Winners of the What Can YOU Do? Video Contest will add to this collection of resources and be featured on the CDE’s website and shown at future CDE events helping further the critical message that good workplace policies and practices for people with disabilities benefit everyone and make good business sense.
